Handmade blankets created with care for children who need comfort.
Overview: In January 2026, BHS Keep It Kind Club members and other student volunteers made more than 30 blankets to support Project Linus’s work bringing warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, have experienced trauma, or are otherwise in need.
-
Keep It Kind partnered with Project Linus for a blanket-making event in San Mateo County in January 2026. Volunteers made handmade blankets for children who could use some extra comfort.
-
We reached out to BHS Keep It Kind Club members and other student volunteers, purchased the materials, and organized them for the event.
-
Volunteers worked together to make the blankets, and pizza and cookies were served during the event. The blankets were then delivered to Project Linus.
-
We hope each blanket brings warmth and comfort to a child who needs it. It felt good to make something by hand that could remind someone they’re cared for.
